CAGR Calculator
CAGR is the steady yearly growth rate that would take a value from where it started to where it ended. It smooths out the ups and downs, which makes it handy for comparing revenue, investments or user numbers over time.
Your result will appear here.
How it's calculated
Divide the ending value by the beginning value, raise it to the power of one over the number of years, and subtract one. The table shows what the value would have been each year if it had grown at exactly that rate.
CAGR = (End ÷ Start)^(1/years) − 1
How to do it in Excel
=RRI(5, 100000, 180000)- Excel's built-in function for CAGR. Returns 12.47%.
=(B2/B1)^(1/B3)-1- The same thing written out.
