Discount Calculator

Enter the original price and the discount. If a store offers an extra percentage off the sale price, put it in the second box: two discounts don't simply add up.

Your result will appear here.

How it's calculated

The sale price is the original price times one minus the discount. A second discount applies to the already-reduced price, so 25% off then 10% off is 32.5% off in total, not 35%.

Sale price = Price × (1 − Discount)

How to do it in Excel

=B1*(1-B2)
Price in B1, discount in B2 as a percentage.
=B1*(1-B2)*(1-B3)
With a second discount in B3.
