Everyday math & dates
Days Between Dates Calculator
Pick two dates. By default the end date isn't counted, the same as subtracting one date from the other in Excel.
Your result will appear here.
How it's calculated
The number of days is the end date minus the start date. Counting the end date adds one, which is what you want for things like the length of a trip or a hotel stay in nights plus one.
The weekday count includes both dates and leaves out Saturdays and Sundays, the same as NETWORKDAYS.
How to do it in Excel
=B2-A2- Days between a start date in A2 and an end date in B2.
=NETWORKDAYS(A2, B2)- Weekdays between the dates, both counted.
=DATEDIF(A2, B2, "M")- Full months between the dates.
