GPA Calculator
Add a row for each course with its credit hours and letter grade. To see your overall GPA, fill in your current GPA and the credits you've already completed.
Your result will appear here.
How it's calculated
Each letter grade is worth a number of points: A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0 and so on down to F = 0. Multiply each course's points by its credits, add them up and divide by the total credits.
Some schools give A+ a 4.3. This calculator uses 4.0, which is the more common rule.
GPA = Σ(points × credits) ÷ Σ credits
How to do it in Excel
Put credits in column B and grade points in column C (look them up with XLOOKUP from a small grade table if you like):
=SUMPRODUCT(B2:B5, C2:C5)/SUM(B2:B5)- Your GPA for the courses listed.
